J. F. Crawford Building, in Central Park, Fairfield City Park

The J. F. Crawford Building, shown in the lower-right of this old postcard, was remodeled in the spring of 2017 to remove a discordant wooden shake-shingle canopy that had been added in 1973. The canopy had changed the look of the building and hid most of the cast iron Corinthian columns. Currently it looks more like the original facade, except for the large medallion at the top, for which we have no information.
For some time now the building has housed the Davis and Palmer Real Estate office. Also note, in the center of the postcard, is the old Light Tower that was in the center of the Square.
